You've built the career, the family, the life everyone said you should want. This is six days to find out what's actually going on under the hood — your health, your data, your direction — alongside men doing the same.

The Altavita Men's Retreat — A Medical Wellness & Adventure Retreat for Men
A Medical Wellness & Adventure Retreat for Men
7-Day Retreat for Men, in Chiapas, Mexico Co-facilitated with Ryan Hennessey
new! Sept 22-28, 2026
You don't need another conference, another golf weekend, or another year of "I'll get the checkup done eventually." You need to know what's actually happening in your body — and what to do about it.
The Altavita Men's Retreat brings together a small, curated group of men in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s for six days of precision medical diagnostics, genuine adventure, cultural immersion, and the kind of honest conversation most men haven't had since they can remember.
No performance. No posturing. Just full health data, real adrenaline, and a group of men who decided to stop running on autopilot — together.

This Is Not a Bro Trip. This Is a Full-System Reset — With Real Data.
Meet Your Co-Facilitator: Ryan Hennessey

Ryan Hennessey is an educator-turned-coach, entrepreneur, and adventurer who spent over a decade creating transformational learning experiences before dedicating his work to men navigating real reinvention — divorce, burnout, career pivots, or the slow realization that the life you built no longer fits.
As the founder of (Re)Align Retreats and the Ascend Men's Group, Ryan holds space with a rare combination of rigour and warmth — the kind that makes real reckoning feel safe. He believes adventure isn't an escape from the work; it's the doorway into it.
Throughout the week, Ryan leads the group programming: integration circles, intentional conversation, and the practices that turn a remarkable trip into a turning point.
"This retreat is for the man who's been performing strength — and is ready to find out what's underneath it."

7 Days in Chiapas — Your Itinerary
Every detail is handled so you can be fully present — to your health, to the experience, and to the work.
Day 1 · Tuesday, September 22 — Arrival & Connect
Land in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and exhale. A curated welcome swag bag, poolside welcome drinks, and an intimate founders' talk set the tone. An intention-setting gathering gives everyone space to arrive fully — no small talk required. Check-in at the Marriott.
Day 2 · Wednesday, September 23 — Adrenaline & Altitude
Nothing breaks the ice like a 140-meter descent. Rappel down into the Sima de las Cotorras — a vast jungle sinkhole alive with parrots — then take to the zipline above the canopy. By the time you're back on solid ground, you'll know exactly who you're spending the week with. Evening recovery and a group dinner to swap stories.
Day 3 · Thursday, September 24 — Diagnostics & Decompression
Morning medical testing at San Lucas Hospital — bloodwork, scans, the full picture. Transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas, one of Mexico's most enchanting colonial cities. Then let the tension melt with a long lunch and Michelin-honoured flavours. Your body's doing the work today. You just have to show up.
Day 4 · Friday, September 25 — Waterfalls, Nature & the Cacao Ceremony
An exhilarating hike to El Chiflón waterfall — one of Mexico's most stunning natural sites. Afternoon recovery, then a traditional cacao ceremony and evening sound bath. The kind of day you'll be telling stories about.
Day 5 · Saturday, September 26 — Temazcal & Integration
A morning local market visit, then a traditional Temazcal sweat lodge ceremony — one of the most powerful experiences a group of men can share. Group integration time led by Ryan, solo reflection, and an optional dinner with live music to close an extraordinary day.
Day 6 · Sunday, September 27 — Results, Plans & Massage
Your private 1:1 medical debrief. A personalized 12-month wellness plan in your hands. Spa appointments, a closing integration circle, and a farewell dinner at Cocina Bö — the finest table in San Cristóbal. Leave lighter, clearer, and more yourself than when you arrived.
Day 7 · Monday, September 28 — Leisure Departure
A slow breakfast, final reflections, and relaxed checkout from Hotel Bö. Departures after noon. The retreat ends here. The work — and the brotherhood — are just beginning.

Real Data. Real Decisions. Real Health.

The Altavita approach isn't a spa weekend with a smoothie. We bring a decade of expertise in medical tourism and holistic healing to every retreat — combining world-class diagnostics with the kind of personalized follow-up your GP doesn't have time for.
Our medical team works with you individually — reviewing your personal and family health history — to determine which diagnostics are most meaningful for you right now.
Every result is translated into plain English. Every guest gets a private 1:1 review with a medical expert. And your 12-month wellness plan means the transformation doesn't end when you get on the plane home.
We test deeper to empower you through your next chapter — with data and choices.
Ongoing specialist support from our medical network is included through your year of follow-up coaching.
Why Men Don't Do This — And Why You Should
Most men treat their health like a check-engine light: ignore it until something breaks. The statistics on men's preventative care are grim, and the reasons are familiar — too busy, too healthy to bother, too uncomfortable asking questions.
This retreat removes every excuse. The full diagnostic workup that would take months to coordinate at home happens in a single morning. The results are explained, not handed to you in a portal. And the conversations that follow — with experts, and with men walking the same road — turn information into action.
Whether you leave with a new health protocol, a new perspective, or a few men you'll be talking to for years — this retreat will change how you approach your next chapter.
September 22–28, 2026. Chiapas, Mexico.
This retreat is intentionally small — capped at 12 guests to protect the quality of your 1:1 medical debriefs, the depth of the group experience, and the integrity of the container Ryan and our team build over the week.
Spots are reserved by application. We welcome men of all backgrounds — the shared values are curiosity, intentionality, and a genuine commitment to their own health and growth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a "men's work" retreat? What does the group programming involve?
The foundation is medical and adventure travel. The group programming — facilitated by Ryan Hennessey — includes integration circles and intentional conversation, but there's no forced vulnerability and no script. You go as deep as you choose. Most men are surprised by how much they want to.

This retreat is designed for men in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s. Our guests tend to be founders, executives, professionals, and fathers — intellectually curious, health-conscious, and genuinely interested in living well.
How physically demanding is the rappel and zipline?
The Sima de las Cotorras experience is run by certified guides with full safety equipment and requires no prior experience — just a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to step over the edge. Alternative activities are available if rappelling isn't for you.
What does the retreat cost?
Pricing includes all medical diagnostics, hotel stays, ground transport, excursions, meals, spa treatments, and your 12-month wellness coaching plan. Contact us directly for current investment details and payment options.

I'm nervous about medical testing. What should I expect?.
All testing is conducted at accredited medical facilities with English-speaking staff. You'll receive a full results briefing in a private, comfortable 1:1 session with a medical expert who will walk you through every finding — no jargon, no judgment, and no guessing. Many guests say the debrief is the most empowering conversation they've had about their health.
